Good points: A very smart modern looking TV with the beautiful piano black finish. Simply plug it in and it sets itself up, Then you can just sit back and be amazed at the massive size and quality!
Bad points: If you are using this TV in a small room you will feel the heat that it gives off, However this could be an advantage in the winter! The only other problem is that if you have been watching a program like GMTV it leaves the gmtv logo on the screen, You can however remove this with the built in burn protection screen cleaner.

Good points: Big screen, low price, computer games four feet wide! Using this with a Freesat receiver and HDMI cable I get a great high definition picture on the few HD channels available (more to come soon I hope) and good picture on the ordinary channels and the terrestrial freeview channels through the built-in tuner (depending on source material).
Bad points: Not 1080p. Needs external amp and speakers for good sound (I use headphones).

Good points: Excellent value for such a large tv. The picture and sound quality are very good but I would suggest that you need a large room to fully appreciate both these aspects. The design and functionality of the TV are excellent. It is sleek and stylis despite its large size and comes well equipped with plenty of external connections.
Bad points: None really - picture not as sharp as expected but good all the same - I expect that you need a big room and to sit a bit further away than we can in our room - problem with showrooms - everything looks smaller and pictures clearer because you are viewing them from a greater distance. Please note though that this is not a fault of the television!

Bad points: the sound is ok when watching tv, like sky etc but when you have a dvd to watch you have to turn the tv up so loud just to hear it. i can have it on 16-20 for tv but 50-60+ for a dvd!

Good points: We bought this TV for watching Sky HD. It is fantastic on sky HD and HD movies. The 720p THE BEST for sky hd as sky boxes broadcast ONLY in 720p and 1080i (AND NEVER IN 1080P). 720P is than 1080i as 1080i is interlaced. Plasmas and LCD TVs don't like INTERLACING......So if its for Sky HD you got yourself a bargain.
Bad points: Sound is very poor, but all Plasmas and LCD's are the same. These type of tv's ALWAYS need a Home theatre kit our amp. The Sound from this model is only suitable for a tiny living room or bedroom. You'll also want to buy 1080p TV if its Bluray discs you want to watch.

Good points: the tv has a good picture for the price and is probably the lowest priced 50 inch plasma from a respected maker. this is all well and good but the low price comes at a cost. the tv in built speaker is the worst i have ever seen. the slightest amount of basse and its vibrating like crazy. fine if you have a surround speaker setup but if not then steer clear of this tv, good picture/terrible sound !!

Good points: Good value at the time of purchase, Nice sharp picture on Sky & Freeview and even on analogue TV, High Definition Quality is nice & crisp for Broadcast HD ie BBC/ITV/Ch4 HD but it doesn't go up to 1080P if you want the best out of your BlueRay player. Finally - very easy on/off on the front.
Bad points: Sound quality is just about ok for average lounge but needs more "umph" if you like to turn it up, get Surround Sound ?

Good points: The product overall is fantastic i think, the picture quality is fantastic even when the television is not set in HD mode, the picture is so crisp. Also as the television is specialised in sport it is fantastic for watching football, watching football on it is a dream and for any other buyer who is mad about football this is the king of all televisions, especially for the price. Cannot go wrong. A great buy.
Bad points: There is only one bad thing about the television and that is the sound, it isnt the loudest television as the speakers are underneath it so the sound is aimed at the stand so it doesnt hit you instantly as soon as it comes out of the television, but if your neighbours dont mind you having the television loud, then get this television!

Good points: Picture quality is fantastic. I am using its standard freeview and the picture is much better than my previous 40" LCD. The quality of the TV overall is fantastic and the functionality is excellent. I have read a number of reviews suggesting that the sound quality is really bad. I have to strongly disagree. The sound is excellent on everything except for poor quality vhs recordings or streaming video. I did notice on the poorer quality recordings that the sound suffered from a lot of vibration. I adjusted the sound settings and now its fantastic all round. No vibration even turned up loud. With regards to the HD its also fantastic. I am currently running a PS3 through HDMI and the picture is unbelievablely good on Blu-ray and games.
Bad points: None its great quality at a great price.

Bad points: got screen burn after only 2 days due to playing xbox 360 game "Battlefield: Bad company" the game has a mini-map which has a bright white border around it which cannot be moved or disabled and so now the screen has a 5 inch square box burned in the bottom left corner. and the game was only on for an hour and a half.

Good points: Amazing quality when watching freeview. If you watch alot of SD content plasma is definitely the way to go. Xbox 360 and PS3 look amazing via HDMI. Blu-Ray movies are awesome.

Good points: This Plasma is fantastic 100 Hz 1080i nice big screen. Seen 1080p can't see the difference against this model and the 1080p did not have 100 Hz I am very pleased great for HD movies in fact it's better then being at the Movies.If you want a plasma and a large screen then I would recommend this unit well built and of course it's Sam sung.

Good points: Value for money and picture quality. No complaints for the price.
Bad points: Overly fussy set up for picture etc. Sound isn't brilliant but you get used to it. The sport mode seems to make the picture worse when watching football.

Good points: Plenty of options - once we have time perhaps to read and understand them. Generally very good so far.
Bad points: Sound quality was the reason we had the set exchanged, after ten days. We are still not entirely accustomed to the sound, which problem should improve after we have got used to working the set. It is certainly a vast improvement on the defective previous set. It is so up-to-date that the innovations will take some time to be of benefit.

Good points: Looks good, value for money. A quality product (no problemsso far). We have another Samsung plasma and like that it, hence we purchased another. We also purchased the cinema sound system and thats excellent. HAPPY DAYS !
Bad points: Only one. It stays on standby unless turned off at the wall, which is not very energy efficient or environmentally friendly. The cinema sound system could have been better with wireless speakers to hide the wires, although i imagine a wireless product would be reflected in the price?

Good points: fantastic tv,great looking and brill picture .for the price your goin to find it hard to get a better tv.blacks are good and colours bright just keep the settings down below fifty for the first few weeks to run it in.you could pay double the money for a 50in but would it be twice as good.
Bad points: none really does what i want. if any it would be the sound but not as bad as i thought it would be any way all flat screens dont have great sound .

Good points: a very chic design with a swivel screen and a sleep timer that you can set to switch off for those who know they will fall asleep on the sofa and wake up in the early hours of the morning excllent idea.

Good points: Great tv for the money, sound is good for a Samsung(usually they are not).Picture was dark and clarity was bad to start with but after settling down for a few hours its fine.Menu is easy to use and would recommend this tv to anyone. Have been using the XBOX on it too for periods of around 1 hour with no image burning at all!!

Bad points: Sound is not too good if you want it louder than say 20. I had read reviews about the sound on this tv before buying and understood that I would need to invest in a home cinema sound system to get the best sound - still saving for that! The only other thing I find annoying is that there appears to be no real on off switch, its either on or on standby. Still it has encouraged me and the finance to actually switch off the plug and pull it out of the socket.

Good points: my first flat screen, delighted with it. can't see how a normal viewer would be disappointed. you can pay 4 times the price for a 50 inch but would the viewing experience be 4 times better ? no dead pixels or screen burn or ir but then i'm not sitting 1 inch from the screen scanning for these. sd sky is very good, no pixelation on any channel. dvd/ps3 through hdmi is fantastic. recommended.

Good points: BIG TV for Little Money, great looking, also has DTV tuner built in. Would recommend 46" or smaller for the average household.
Bad points: Sound is tinny, no surprise on flat panel types. Picture can struggle to keep up with motion, turns "blocky". I haven't tried a true HD feed yet....

Good points: Picture quality is very good and the design is also good. There is ease of use and set up. The HDMI button on the remote control is brillant as it makes it easier to switch between AV source and HDMI.
Bad points: None so far.

Good points: Rotates angle on stand. big screen. has freeview.
Bad points: quite slow when changing channels. Slow response. When turned off it stays on standby. Have to pull out the plug to ensure no power running though it to avoid wasting electricity. Picture can be slightly pixilated at times.

Good points: The picture quality is excellent and the olympics have been amazing on this screen. The whole design is sleek and modern. An excellent product!
Bad points: None that I can think of, the only problem we had is we want to mount it on the wall and our brick work is not strong enough.

Good points: lots of input connections , size , looks. + DVD's look great.
Bad points: The sound is not so good , vibrates on any deep sound. On cable TV the picture quality is lots worse than my old Tubed tv. ( This Probbably aplies to all makes as my mates is the same on an LG)

Good points: Design is as good as you'd expect from Samsung Picture quality is good especially if you use the various options from the menu Sound is better than expected given the indifferent comments id read about this previously - would def benefit from being used with a surround sound system but then so would any tv, i don't think its a necessity and I use the tv primarily for sport and movies
Bad points: Can only leave on standby not fully off unless you turn off at plug

Good points: Excellent picture and great value for money
Bad points: The sound quality is truly appalling, the sound distorts. I'd seen previous reviews that said the sound wasn't great, but I thought, ok it might lack bass or something, but I never expected it to distort and rattle the speaker.

Good points: Picture is fantastic i havn't even run it through HD yet and just through a normal dvd player the pictures brilliant.Easy to set up looks really nice up on the wall too.
Bad points: Nothing really bad about it but the same as what other people have said the sounds not the best but i run mine through surround sound alot of the time so it doesn't matter thats it really.

Good points: Easy to set up. Plugged it in the standard TV aerial and it tuned into most of the digital channels

Good points: You get what you pay for, its not the best on the market but for a 50" Samsung plasma it was very good value, and I thort the picture quality was also good. Would deff recomend to a friend for value for money!!!
Bad points: I thort value for money wise theres not really alot to complain about.
